So I decided to change the look of my blog. I'm really liking the blue and white. It's a nice change for summer I think.
Anyways... Let's get down to business. "To defeat the Huns."
Sorry I had a Disney's Mulan moment.
So basically my body decides that I should catch any and every sickness that goes around. This time...
PINK EYE.
I have absolutely no clue where I got it from. Last time I had it, I was a kid. Now as an adult I got it and I got it BAD. I had it for about two flippin' weeks. Here's how it looked when I found out I got it.
How it looked a couple days later. Eye was practically swollen shut.
Two weeks of having it...
I'm glad it's finally over.
So this past month we celebrated Memorial Day. It was a beautiful drive. We went to Morgan, UT to visit some ancestors from my dad's side of the family that are buried there.
Basically Utah is one of the prettiest places you could ever live at.
Road trip!
We had a nice picnic.
Wadman is my maiden name!
Melanie decided to have a reverent sit next to her great (I don't know how many greats) uncle.
Just sitting reverently and soaking in the peacefulness of the day.
Daddy and Melanie checking out the view from the cemetery.
She's a happy little runner.
On our way back home of course we had to take the scenic route.
After we got home, Dallan, Melanie, and I then visited our Grandpa Ebert.
Squish wanted to smell all the flowers.
I absolutely LOVE daisies. They are my favorite.
Melanie with her Great Grandma Ebert.
The day after Memorial Day, Dallan and I thought we should take advantage of our pass of all passes and go have some fun in the sun at Seven Peaks Water Park. They have on in Salt Lake and they have another in Provo.
We've been to the one in Salt Lake so we decided that we wanted to go to Provo for the day and try out the one they have there!
Here's my little girl all ready for a day full of fun in water!
She was tired so we let her take a nap on the way there.
The water park didn't open until 4pm so we went to the BYU campus and visited the creamery.
Mmmmmmm... Ice cream!
Even Melanie got her own bowl full of the delicious stuff!
I'm telling ya, Utah has some of the prettiest sunrises and sunsets I have ever seen.
Here is a sunrise.
And here is a sunset.
One day during the week Melanie and I had the chance to get together with our good friends Madi and her little man JJ.
The Hugie's and us basically have betrothed our children, so here is an early engagement picture. Hahaha!
Melanie and me taking some selfies as we wait in the mall for Madi and JJ.
Madi and I met up at the City Creek Mall and in the outdoor portion there is a splash pad for kids.
I think it was safe to say that Melanie LOVED it!
She most definitely is a water loving kid.
This pictures make her look so grown up. My baby is growing too fast. She's not a little baby anymore, she's a toddler. Makes me a little sad. :( They aren't kidding when they say kids grow in a blink of an eye.
I really need to stop blinking.
Getting my summer nails on and testing out some new colors!
I love summer nights. It means for warm evening walks with family.
Since we've been in our new ward, I've been called to serve in the nursery.
My Heavenly Father has given me the gift and blessing to care for children. There is nothing more precious than a child.
These little ones are between the ages of 15 months to 2 years old. They sure do love their snack time! Can you blame them? Who doesn't love snacks?!
It is so cute to watch them interact with one another.
Also this past month my sister-in-law Lindsey graduated. She graduated both from high school and seminary!
Way to go Lindsey!!!
Yup! That's my sister on the jumbo-tron at the Jazz's Energy Solutions Area (aka... formerly known as the Delta Center)
Oh you know, just taking family pictures at the graduation.
After all, there were a million and a half kids and Lindsey was one of the first names announced. What else were we supposed to do? :)
This is how Melanie watches TV sometimes. Weird kid. Hahaha!
See I told you, she loves the water. Two of her favorite things in the world. Her dog and a pool full of water.
Since the weather has been getting a lot hotter we bought her a little waiting pool and have it in the back yard for her to play in.
Even Dallan has had some fun with Melanie in her pool. Maybe a little too much fun... Hahaha!
We should have gotten a bigger pool...
Hahaha!
This is one of the cute things that Melanie does that I love. She likes to hold hands while we are driving in the car. So cute!
One Sunday evening we went to an awesome park that my parents showed us. We went with my parents and my dad's cousin and his family. It was fun.
From the look of this picture I think I enjoyed it more than Dallan and Melanie. Hahaha!
I'm just a kid at heart I guess.
Squish sure loved the swings! Just look at that sweet smile. :)
Her hair stuck straight up when she went down the slides. It was funny.
Melanie and my dad's cousin's kids waiting to be spun in this giant spinner thing.
Melanie found Daddy's flip-flops and wanted to try them out!
Nothing better than a fruit salad on a hot summer day!
This girl absolutely loves books! She always has to be read to or just sitting on the couch and looking at the pictures.
Melanie's hair is FINALLY long enough for braids. The tiniest braids I've ever seen, but at least they are there!
Summer has just begun, but already so much has happened. All this fun means for lots a naps!
Bring on the naps because a ton more fun is about to come our way!
