Three Months Have Gone By.... Whoops! Good Thing I Took Pictures The Whole Time!

So basically from the title of this blog, I've been slacking with my monthly posts. With a new baby coming there is too much to do and so little time to do it! Don't worry though! I ALWAYS have a camera on hand and took pictures of the last three months. So really, after this blog we will have you pretty much all caught up with the life of the Hopes!

First of all, we did a lot of painting in our house to make it feel more like "us" since we've moved in. We started off with an accent wall in the living room. Dallan chose the paint, my mom came over and helped me get it on the wall. Looks great if I do say so myself.

Then we were on to Melanie's room. We painted two accent walls a soft purple color that she picked out herself. Her favorite color is purple so naturally she chose that color. I want to do this tradition thing where I make all my kids a decorated wall picture with the first letter of their name. Here is Melanie's. :) I really like how it turned out.
We also moved her into a "big girl" bed. She loves it and sleeps great in it!

This summer Gardner Village had a petting zoo. Melanie LOVED it. She even got to ride a pony!

When we can, we like to "go out for dinner." Meaning, make dinner and take it with us somewhere and have a picnic. Dallan and I used to do it all the time when it was just him and me. Now we include Melanie. :) She seems to like it too.

We did tons of swimming this summer as well. Melanie is seriously our little fish. She loves the water.

Melanie had her FIRST dentist appointment and did great! She just laid there with her mouth wide open and let the hygienist and dentist do their thing. I was one proud Mama! She's getting so big.

My brother Ben came home from his mission to Chile.

Nana and Tata came to town for a visit from California.

Some bird decided to build a nest in Dallan's family's grill. Not a bad place to build a nest if you think about it. The grill lid was always down so you got shelter from danger (dogs, cats, etc), rain wasn't a big deal, I could go on....
Like I said, not a bad place to build a nest..... IF IT WAS ANY OTHER SEASON BUT SUMMER!
These idiot birds built a nest in a medal enclosure in 100+ degree weather. After a few days from hatching, the birds literally got cooked.

After a few long years after losing it, I finally got my original wedding ring style remade. I LOVE IT!

This summer the Zoo had a "Zoorasic World" theme. Dinosaurs everywhere. It was pretty cool. Melanie wasn't too sure though....
Ummm, hello... I don't blame her.

My uncle Brian, aunt Jaimee, and their kids came up for a visit for the fourth of July and my Mom's and cousin Sophie's birthday.
Melanie sure loves her cousins!

Melanie made a new little friend, Brooklyn. She is my friend's niece and they sure were cute together, once they decided to play that is.

We went on a little trip to the Tracy Aviary. We'd never been there before so we thought it would be fun to go with Melanie.

We put the fire pit to use and roasted weenies and made smores'. Mmmmm. :)

Then it was our turn to make a trip out to California. This time we surprised my grandparents. It was their 50th anniversary and it had been a long time since all the Wadman side got together. We all made it and it was a blast.

Melanie with her cousin Emmalie at the Folsom Zoo.

Tamest dear I ever saw.

Melanie sure likes reading with her Great-Nana. She makes story time fun! :)

My mom made a cake for the big anniversary get-together.

Selfie at the Sacramento Temple.

On the temple grounds we got sweet kisses from Melanie. :)

We made a trip out to San Francisco. Naturally, Melanie loved the beach.

Melanie felt her little sister move in my tummy for the first time and really got a "kick" out of it. Haha... get it?

Dallan's family took a vacation so Melanie was our big helper when it came to taking care of their dogs.

Took a trip to Mirror Lake. It's SUPER pretty there.

Can you believe that Melanie took this picture of us?! Hahaha! :)

My mom and I took Melanie to Wheeler Farm. We like that place. It's free and they have a lot of animals.

Oh you know, just Melanie taking a picture of the horses. Haha!

Dallan and I have made it a goal to go to the temple on the first Saturday of every month and make a date out of it.

During the last three months I became VERY pregnant.
Baby is scheduled to make her debut on the 21st of this month (September). Who knows, maybe she'll decide to come even earlier than that.

Dallan started school again.

Dallan's mom found this gem in their freezer... LOL! After almost five years and we STILL had the top of our wedding cake. Hahaha! I think we are packrats or forgetful, one of the two.

We took Melanie on her first train ride on TRAX. She LOVED it. She kept saying, "chuga- chuga choo- choo!" :)

We took TRAX to down town, around Temple Square. The gates surrounding the temple were open so we went in and let Melanie explore around. It was fun taking pictures of her in the same places Dallan and I had pictures taken of us on our wedding day.
According to Melanie, she wants to "get married in the same temple as Mommy and Daddy when she turns 5."
Hahaha!

Whelp, there you have it. Three months in one post. Ta-Da!
Coming up next...
Well... I guess you'll just have to wait and see. :)
