May Is Here! This Year Is Just Flying By! Fun In The Sun In St. George, Uncle Ben Calls From CHILE On Mother's Day, Outdoor Adventures, And The Hospital Visits Continue.

At the beginning of the month we went to Saint George for my brother-in-law, Justin's graduation. He graduated from Dixie State University. We've been to St. George a couple times. The last time we went, I was pregnant and miserable. It gets SUPER hot over there and the heat while having a permanent space heater in my belly SUCKED! This time was great! It was hot, but I wasn't dying because Melanie wasn't inside me this time. She loved being outside all of the time. She adored going on walks around the hotel with her grandpa. Here's a picture of one of the adventures she had with her grandpa. Just hanging out in the shade and playing with rocks! For whatever reason, she LOVES rocks!

Here's the program. Hahaha!

Here comes uncle Justin!

Melanie definitely was not a fan of Justin's cap and gown. It pretty much freaked her out, as you can see in this picture. Hahaha!

The day after the graduation was Saturday. We  used that day pretty much to explore St. George. We visited the temple grounds. It was so pretty. Sunny day and blue skies. There were about five or six marriages/sealings that I could see. It was awesome!

The grounds were covered with gorgeous flowers.
These were my favorite!

Melanie loves the big statue of Christ. She would always sit under it and either smile or look up at Him.
It was really cute.
It makes you wonder if young children like her can still remember Him. :)

"Hi, Jesus. You're my friend."

Family picture.

Our family picture. :)

So the weekend we went to St. George was the same weekend that the Iron Man Triathlon was going on. It actually was pretty cool to watch. Some people have great endurance. I know I probably wouldn't be able to do it, especially in such high heat. Blah!

OF COURSE we HAD to take a dip in the POOL! Our little Squishy fish loved it. I'm pretty sure the pool was her favorite part of the whole trip.
Look at that happy sweet face! :)

Dallan was able to throw her a lot higher than I could. I'm a wimp.

Dallan was able to capture Lauren and me doing cannon balls.

Pretty cool!

We also went miniature golfing. Not just any mini golf, but glow in the dark mini golf! It was so cool! I've never seen such a thing before.

I got my nails done before our little trip and they glowed super well under all the black lights.

After golfing, Justin insisted that we try some Hawaiian ice. It's kind of like a snow cone except the ice is shaved super thin and light. It's basically the texture of powdered snow. Do you see it in the bottom right of this picture? Yeah well, that's a small! It was HUGE! Dallan, Melanie, and I all shared one.

Melanie saw a moth fly by and thought it was amazing. Hahaha!

On our way back to Salt Lake!
Good bye red rock!

I think Abby missed her baby girl, Melanie. Abby didn't leave Melanie alone at all. She would try to lay on her lap. It was funny to watch because Melanie is obviously a lot smaller than we are and therefore, her lap isn't big enough for Abby to lay on, but she still tried as hard as she could!

Squish and I had a lunch date win uncle Ricky. We love doing that when we can. It's fun!

Shortly after we got home from St. George, it was Lauren's fourteenth birthday. Melanie had just come from outside (hence the jacket) and wanted to help her aunt Lauren open up her presents.

On Mother's Day we were able to Facetime my missionary brother Ben! It was so great to see and talk to him again. He is serving in Chile and is doing FANTASTIC! Here is a picture of all seven of us! :)

And... Here's a picture of the five of us. :)

Of course my brothers and I had to take a goofy picture just like old times. Hahaha!
Wow... we can sure make some interesting faces. Who would've thought? Hahaha!

There was a week this month where Melanie didn't feel the greatest. I felt so bad for her. :( All she did was watch The Muppets and snuggle. The movie got annoying after the sixth time playing it in a day, but I sure did love the snuggles from my sweet little girl.

So the hospital visits continued this month. I went in to have an endoscopy procedure done.
Results came back and I for sure have a hernia in my stomach. :( That's why my tummy hurts all the flippin' time.

After all that I have had, these suckers don't bother me anymore. In fact, I can hardly feel it when they poke me with the needle...

Like I said before, Melanie LOVES being outside. There is a play set in the back yard that she loves to play on. Not only does she like to play on it, but so does Abby.

Yes, that is Abby. And yes, she is climbing the ladder to get to the top of the play set.
We are all well aware that Abby is our flippin' dog right?
What dog climbs ladders!?

Almost made it!

She made it to the top!

Down the slide she goes!
"Weeeeeeeeeee!"

While at the top of the play set, I tell Melanie, "Ok honey, let's take a picture. Say CHEESE!"
And this is what she gives me. Hahaha! Which I find really humorous, because of the fact that her sweater says "Say Cheese" on it too. She is such a little ham! Hahaha! Or should I say "cheese" ball.

She loves being thrown in the air by her daddy. She thinks it is the funnest thing ever!

It is a bird? Is it a plane? No....
It's Melanie!

This is what Abby does when Melanie is taking a nap in her bed room. Abby basically guards the door and when Melanie starts crying or wakes up, she immediately goes to me or Dallan and looks at us as if she is saying, "Come on, let her out!"

One evening Dallan wanted to take Melanie and me out for a little date night. As you can see, Melanie didn't quite make it. She was EXHAUSTED!
She stayed asleep the entire time we were at the restaurant. In a way it was good that she was sleeping, because I got to eat my meal warm for once! Hahaha! :)

Ten days after Lauren's birthday, it was Justin's birthday. Again, Melanie had to be right there in the center of it all to help with the present opening.

"Mmmmm ICE CRRRRRRREAM!"

"Give me give me give me!"

I still can't believe she shoved her entire face in Justin's ice cream. Hahaha!
I guess she takes after her mama and loves the stuff!

My parent's neighborhood had a block party type thing so Dallan and I went. A friend of mine recently had a baby so naturally I HAD to hold the little guy. Three words... SO. MUCH. HAIR! Love it!
Melanie was to mesmerized by him. She just stared at him and tried to figure him out. It was so cute to watch. It's amazing to me how kids love kids. If that even makes sense. They all have each others' backs.

So when I got my endoscopy done, the doctor wasn't able to see all the he wanted to because there was SOOO much acid and that was causing the picture to get really fuzzy. Therefore, the fact that he couldn't see everything caused me to have to go back to the hospital the following week and get another procedure done.
I had to eat some eggs with radioactive gunk in them. Every hour for four hours I had to get an x-ray done. This procedure was to make sure my stomach processes food correctly.
Can I just say.... the eggs were DISGUSTING!

As always, so much has happened this month. I'm sure June will continue to bring on the adventures!
Can't wait to see what next month will bring... :)
