So basically I have to start off by bragging a little about my husband. Every woman should right? Well, Dallan loves me :) He came home with these flowers for me and there was no special occasion or anything other than he loves me. I love that about him. It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day or our anniversary for him to surprise me with little things like this. I love it AND I love him! He is so good to me and I couldn't be more thankful.
Summer time calls for s'mores! Time to start up the fire pit! Check out this beauty, right in the comfort of the back yard! Nothing like the sound of cracklin' firewood on a warm summer evening. Ahhhhh.....
Let the mallow roasting begin!
So my sister-in-law Lacy, is officially the queen of marshmallow roasting perfection.
Just look at that golden goodness!

Whoever thought to roast a mallow, lay it along side a Hershey's milk chocolate, and shove that between two graham crackers is a flippin' genius. All I have to say is Thank You.

We have some of the nicest neighbors. They let us use their pool and we've been doing so!

Summer time also calls for family BBQ's. This time we had a family get-together to celebrate our grandpa Hope's birthday!
The BBQ was hosted at our uncle Monty and aunt Julie's house. They had a leak in one of their misters and Melanie took advantage of it to play in the water. She LOVES the water and had a blast playing in it!
We ended up stripping her down to her socks and onesie because she was getting soaked! Hahaha!
Our baby girl has had her fair share of illnesses this summer :( First, hand, foot, and mouth disease. Then, the flu... Poor thing.
I took her in to the pediatrician when she had the flu. They were able to give her medicine to keep her from throwing up all the time. It makes me sad when babies are sick :(

On the plus side, sick babies mean snuggly babies :)

Melanie loves to play in her room and corner herself in all her toys.

Then a sip of water turned into onesie time running around in the water.
Then that turned into drinking out of the sprinklers again, this time with the dog....
Then that turned into turning the sprinklers on in the front yard and running through them....
Then I had to get in on all the fun.
Love this kid sooo much!
About a week ago we had another family BBQ, this time with the Ebert side.
Uncle Doug is GREAT with kids and they sure love him. Here are some of our cousins' kids all gathers together singing "Happy And You Know it." :) It's cute to watch Melanie interact with other kids.

It's the little things in life that makes children so happy. We ourselves need to be more like that and stop taking things for granted.
