Spring Has Sprung! Oh Wait... Just Kidding! Mother Nature Played A Trick On Us. Then There Are Some Sweet Easter Pictures Of Our Cute Girls Too!

This picture gives me mixed emotions. It brings back high school memories. Dallan and I spent five days a week for three years in this very high school. Heck, we have probably stood in that very spot that Melanie is standing in together. Looking at this picture also makes me feel old. My three year old  daughter is standing inside the high school where I met her dad.
**MIND. BLOWN.**

The whole purpose for stepping back on to Copper Hills grounds was to watch my awesome sister-in-law perform in her school choir. They did great!

Melanie spotted her on stage and would get really excited that she could see her aunt Lauren "singing really loudly." Hahaha!

This picture was taken after Lauren's choir concert. Melanie wanted to catch some snowflakes on her tongue. Mind you it was SUPPOSED to be Spring by now....
Yeah... Good one Utah... Way to get us all excited for Spring and then....
JUST KIDDING you guys, here's some snow.

Just a nice sibling lunch date. We never get to do this so when the opportunity presented itself we took it!
Love my bros! Oh, and Cafe Rio too. Hahaha!

One of the most important times of the year came last month. GIANT Slurpee time! Hahaha!
Dallan's Dad, Lance, was AWESOME and brought me one. He's seriously the best!
There's no better way to get to my heart than with a coke slurpee on hand. Hahaha!

I don't know why, but Dallan always seems to put our baby's pants on her head. Hahaha!

After Mother Nature decided to tease us with a "Springy" snow storm, she actually brought us some decent weather. We took the opportunity to go on a family walk.

This was Anna's first walk and she LOVED it!
Sweet baby girl!

These two make my heart want to explode. I love them so much!
And the love that they have for each other already is amazing to me.

Baby smiles are the best!

You think I'm kidding when I say that Abby thinks that our babies are her puppies? Well, I'm not.

She's gotten really good at rolling all over the place.

Dallan loves him some night time baby snuggles.

Here's Melanie and her "daughter." Haha! She literally calls this animal her child and says Dallan and I are it's "grandparents."
Hahaha!

We try about three days a week to do some "home school."
We say the Pledge of Allegiance, we go over the alphabet, numbers, we have an art project, singing time, story time, and then I let Melanie pick something that she would really like to learn more about. For example, when Melanie got her bike for Christmas, she wanted to learn how bikes worked. I did my research and found a few "kid friendly" videos on how bikes work and we learned about that.
It makes me feel good hearing Melanie repeat or talk about something that I've taught her weeks prior.
Gotta use all those Elementary Ed courses somewhere. Why not use what I've learned about teaching on my own kids.
Don't I have three of the cutest students ever!

She likes to erase the board after we've completed learning about a certain subject.

"My hand on my hip makes me write better, Mom."
Whatever you say Melanie...... Hahaha!

The other week the girls and I went over to Dallan's parents' house to hang out and Melanie helped paint Grandpa Ebert's old bird house. She loved doing that and helping her grandma! She was excited to show everyone the finished product when they were all done.
It turned out great!

For Easter, Dallan's work had this family friendly Easter get-together type event. It was pretty neat. They had a little petting zoo and Easter egg hunt for the kids. They also had an Easter bunny that you could have your picture taken with. Then in the cafeteria, they had a movie and some coloring activities for the kids. His work did a great job with it! We had a lot of fun!

Easter Sunday came we gave the girls their Easter dresses. They looked so cute!

After church we headed over to my parents' house so Melanie could have a little Easter egg hunt. This year they did it indoors because of the possible chance of rain or snow. My parents were super creative. They had her find eight normal eggs with candy inside and then eight "paper" eggs with fun toys/actives attached to them.
She LOVED searching for eggs all over the house and finding fun paper eggs with special things attached to them!

My mommy and me on Easter. Love you Mom!

Family selfie with the help of Melanie's special effects! Hahaha!
She couldn't wait to play with the bubbles she got from one of the paper eggs.

We then headed over to Dallan's parents' house for another Easter egg hunt and for a yummy dinner. Melanie had fun searching all over the back yard for eggs. Can't you tell by her little skip captured in this picture? Haha! So cute!

CHEESE!

After the egg hunt was over she was DYING to play on her swing set. It's been cold for so long that we haven't been able to be outside much. She was so excited she ran straight to it!

I'm happy that the weather has finally decided to get warmer so that we can be outside more. I love watching Melanie have fun just being a kid. It's the simple things in life that bring the most joy.
Love her!

Melanie made a fort/tent at Nana and Tata's house and she wanted to take her nap in it. Hahaha!

This time of year the IFA Country store has their "babies." There are baby chickens, geese, ducks, and bunnies. We like to go and see how cute and fluffy they all are!
"Look Mommy, this one likes me. It's biting my fingernail." Hahaha!

This picture was taken at the CAL Ranch Store. Melanie really wanted me to take her picture standing next to this bear that was taller than her. Silly kid!

Anna just hanging out with Abby. They're buds.

Last month (March), we gave Anna her first taste of baby food. This is something that Melanie has been looking forward to doing since Anna was born. She was SOOO excited to "feed the baby." I let Melanie pick out what vegetable Anna should try first. She picked squash.
I don't think Anna knew exactly how she felt about her first taste of baby food. She would make a funny face, but then she would eat it. I bet she was just getting used to the texture in her mouth.

Melanie was so funny and cute. She would say stuff like, "Here comes the train, choo-choo. Open wide for the train Anna!"
"Mommy, can we eat our dinner naked too like Anna?" Uhhhhh......... No. Hahahaha!
I had to explain to her that Anna had to eat in just a diaper because she would most likely get really messy and we didn't want her clothes to get dirty. After giving Anna a few bites, she quickly understood why we took her clothes off. Hahaha!

More events have happened and more pictures have been taken. All ready to go for the next blog post! It's fun and such a blessing to have these fun adventures and moments with my own little family.
